Lestryne is a director of the Just for Women Centre in Stanley. Craft is her passion and a theraputic medcine, she also teaches ladies at the centre and enjoy’s participating in their craft workshops. Lestryne makes candles and kopo knitted cowls and mitts.
The ladies from the Be Creative Shop at the Just For Women Centre in Stanley make beautiful handcrafted items from cushions, rag rugs, throws, baby blankets and much more.
Glass artist Christine Keers studied Glass and Ceramics at Sunderland University, graduating in 2005. Her work echo’s her love of Scandinavian design and the British landscape. Christine’s simple use of colour and form is a re-occurring theme throughout her work, as she enjoys both the restrictions and the creative possibilities this allows.
Susan Lamont is bespoke handmade jewellery locally made in Darlington. Each piece of jewellery, necklaces, bracelets, chokers and earrings are handcrafted, unique and vintage, fashioned using glass beads, pearls and other materials.
